SEEDS

Seeds is an restaurant downtown San Luis Obispo that serves acai bowls, smoothies, pressed juices, and toast. For this project I worked with two other students to design an app that would make checking out customers and scheduling easier for the employees. We found that employees at working at Seeds needed an easier way to put in customers orders, move around their schedules, and communicate. We designed an app, ShelfLife, that would easily allow them to enter a customers order and remove or add toppings of their choice. The app also allows for an easy check-out between the customer and the employee. Most importantly, the app allows employees to communicate. They are able to communicate if a product went bad or is running low and will need to be replaced soon. Along with that we made a calendar to make trading shifts easier and more organized.

INFO ARCHITECTURE

After putting of our ideas together and mapping out how we wanted the app to be used we made an informational architecture map. This map shows the pathways of how the app could be used from beginning to end.

STORYBOARD

After making three different personas with a different task we created a storyboard. The storyboard shows a real-life situation of how the persona would use the app while interacting with the customer. Putting together a storyboard is helpful in this process to make sure that it is set-up in a user-friendly way.
